South Australia Sri Lankan Doctors Association (SASDA) dedicated their biannual Gala Dinner in the picturesque Ian MacLauchlan room at world famous Adelaide Oval, to the cause of Shanthi.
Dr. Charitha Perera, the Honorary Consular General for Sri Lanka in Adelaide was instrumental in organizing this event. It was a wonderful event where the distinguished members of the medical fraternity from Adelaide and around Australia along with their families gathered for a night of cultural pageantry, great music and dance.
Their support to the cause of Shanthi Foundation was overwhelming with a donation of A$20,000 towards the first Palliative Care Hospital in Sri Lanka. We would like to thank Dr. Sam Simon, the president of SASDA and his matchless council members and the members and well-wishers of SASDA for their support.
Prince Alfred College in Adelaide held its Annual fair on Sunday 5th November at the Prince’s Garden Party. Masters Seran Perera, Dinan Perea, Roshan Ediriweera and Steve Vu organized Sri Lankan food stall which sold Sri Lankan finger foods and Cup Cakes. Their fine effort raised A$ 1,000 for Shanthi Foundation. We sincerely thank Mr. Bradly Fenner, Headmaster and the four students of Prince Alfred College and well wishes for their contribution.
