It is 5 years since the inception of Shanthi Foundation with the vision to build the first eco-friendly Palliative Care Hospital in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. This has been a significant achievement which would not have been achieved without the support of ‘you’ our generous donors!
- From the start of Shanthi Foundation, i.e. May 2014 to 30 June 2018, Donations collected amounted to $614,082. These donations came for our core vision to build the first Palliative Care Hospital in Sri Lanka, to fund programs such as Family sponsorships, Installation of 40 + Reverse Osmosis Machines in schools, medical assistance to families with no assistance and various other medical and prevention programs undertaken over the last few years.
- We continue, consistently to keep our administration costs to a minimum of 3%. These costs comprise of bank fees, insurance costs for the Foundation and annual audit of Shanthi accounts
- Shanthi Foundation Directors and Core Committee members are volunteers who donate their precious time for the Foundation’s programs. They are not a cost burden to the organisation.
